My Man's Mega Bus Moment

Indulge me here, girlfriends. This little story had my mom and I in stitches. Here's a little background info: When Robb goes to sleep, everything must be just right for him to fall asleep, including his earplug(yes, I snore), his sleep sock(yes, it's a sock not a mask), his sleep apnea machine mask, the room temperature, one sheet, blanket, both, or none at all, and of course the mini blinds and curtains drawn. Whew!

Mega Bus leaves 2x a day, 11am and 11pm. They pick up downtown, then stop at OSU, Indianapolis,1 potty break and then arrive in Chicago 7.5 hrs later. Not too bad. This cost us $25.50 roundtrip!!

Robb left for Chicago on Mega Bus. I dropped him off at 10:45pm, so he could ride/sleep all night and arrive early to Chicago and go to Moody Church for their late service. Ok, kiss kiss, goodbye, see you next week, have a good time...

Text messages from Robb:

10:53pm: Will be going to Cincy first, then Indy, then Chicago. No AC on bus, driver apologizing.

11:05pm: I be chill'in wit ma brothers. I'm da only white dude on da bus, includin' da driver.

11:42pm: Y'know those old exercise machines with the big wide belt that jiggles the heck out of you in an effort to reduce fat? I'm in for 8 hours. Can hardly text.

12:01am: On a bus in the middle of the night, no AC, listening to some funky blues/rock/rap music, jigglin' like heck, and surrounded by my brothers. I'll remember this!

12:11am: Jiggling not as bad now. Might actually sleep a bit.

7:51am: In Chicago! Got about 4 total hours sleep.

Robb actually made it too Chicago via Cincy(=p) and got some sleep. Miracles do happen and of course my man had fun thru it all! Hmm, don't think I'll be tak'in the Mega Bus overnighter any time soon! Hee Hee!
