"On this July 4th weekend, Heavenly Father, we pray for our country. We ask that you would protect our troops who continue to sacrifice for our peace and the peace of others around the world. Heal them, keep them from harm and draw them to Yourself. We pray for the United States...thanking You for the abundance You have given and asking that we would not take it for granted. Have mercy on us. We have wandered from You and have lifted ourselves up to be our own god. Heal this land of it's greed and sinfulness, that we would be our brothers keeper...that our values would be an outpouring of hearts that are influenced by You and not of our own corrupt designs. We pray for our president, and all those You have put in place to govern our land. Please influence and move them toward Godly agendas and not agendas of their own ambition. Have mercy on us, O God. We pray and ask for Your favor and Your blessing. Amen."
