oh deer

This is an old story that happened to Beth, Krissy and Susan a couple years ago.

We had spent the weekend at our friend Amy's home and were heading back to Columbus. Krissy was driving "Missah Bishy"...Susan and Beth were just taking in the beautiful fall scenery. It was a gorgeous day...clear blue sky, warm sunshine and a slight nip in the air. As we crossed over a bridge on the road we were on, both Beth and Susan looked down stream and saw the most picturesque sight. The water was sparkling as it moved over the rocks. Leaves were slowly floating down from the trees above, and a deer was right in the middle of the stream, slowly making it's way across. Both of us were, "Oh my gosh...did you see that? Absolutely breathtaking...Krissy, turn around, turn around...you've got to see this...hurry, turn the car around!" So Krissy pulls over and turns the SUV around, all the while we're hoping that we will get a second chance to see this amazing sight. As we're approaching the bridge, Krissy slows down and all three of us eagerly look downstream. "Look, look...there it is! Krissy can you see it? Why is it standing like that? Maybe it's... oh look it's back is all hunched over...I wonder if it's...eeoooooowwww gross!" Sure enough, we had turned the car around just in time to see the deer drop the kids off at the pool. Suffice it to say...the moment we were hoping for was lost. But, we did enjoy about 15 minutes of riotous laughter.

...so if a deer poos in the forest, and no one is around, does it make a sound?
